Maggie White

Artist Maggie White was born in England and attended art schools there. She immigrated to Canada in 1975 and is now a Canadian citizen living on the West Coast of Canada. She has studios in Port Moody and in Tofino where some of the inspiration for her work comes from and where her paintings, prints and art cards can be seen in local resorts and art galleries. Maggie has also had many one woman shows in Vancouver, Victoria, the Lower Mainland and Calgary and her work has been exhibited across Canada in group exhibitions. She is the recipient of several awards for her art work including “Best in show” and an “Excellence in the Arts Award”. She is a former Regional Director of The Canadian Society of Painter’s in Watercolour and a former President of the Port Moody Art Association. She has taught art for many years and is a popular art instructor at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby and various other locations.  She works mainly in acrylic and watercolour.
