| Claude Theberge's working life has included:
In the late '50s he was a set designer at the Théâtre du Tertre, Montmartre, and a graphic director with UNESCO in Paris. In Montreal, between 1960 and 1968 he founded the first art workshop integrated with architecture; and from 1969 to 1980 a multimedia design company.
His major works include murals in the main hall of the Quebec Parliament; sculpture at the Vanier metro station in Montreal; stained-glass windows in Saint-Jean-Baptiste de la Salle church in Montreal; and a sculptured fountain at Viger park, Montreal. More recently he has created murals for the Revenge boutique in Montreal; the main hall at Théâtre Capitole in Quebec City; and for the Eastern Topographic Society in Boston.
Recent exhibitions of his work have been held in Montreal, Quebec City, Paris, Moscow, St-Petersburg, Copenhagen, Santillana, Chicago, Detroit and Toronto. |
